Torrece "T" Gregoire was a contestant on Season 14 and Season 18 of Hell's Kitchen. She was the runner-up on Season 14.

Personality

T was one of the stronger chefs of the red team, and would usually be a front runner, alongside Meghan. However, she had a big personality, a short-lived running feud with Monique, and a longer one with Michelle, as she did not respect the latter due to her inexperience. Because of that, she is considered the main antagonist of that season.

Season 14

Episode 1

On the bus ride to Hell's Kitchen, T got annoyed when Monique made an insensitive comment about Alison's background, and hoped that Monique could cook. When the chefs arrived at Hell's Kitchen, the doors were locked, and they noticed that Ramsay was on the roof. Then, he said that in order to see if the chefs were 100% committed, they would jump onto an air mattress from the roof. When she saw Enrique climb the latter, she felt that he was shitting his pants in fear. While she was more eager to jump after seeing Enrique and Ruth doing it, Ramsay revealed that it was not necessary as those two were stunt people, and asked the chefs to cook their signature dishes.

During the Signature Dish Challenge, T was the eighth person from the red team to have her dish judged by Ramsay, and went up against Cameron. She made a coffee crusted flank steak, Ramsay deemed the dish terrific, and she scored a perfect five. After Monique argued with Ramsay over her use of pre-made sauce, she asked why the latter would use jarred tomato sauce for a dish that Ramsay would taste.

The red team eventually lost the challenge 28-31, and they were punished by resetting the dining room for the opening night, and sealing confirmation letters in envelopes. Back in the dorms, T was pissed that they lost, but when Monique voiced out that they would beat the men on a regular night, she reminded her that they have yet to beat the men now, and how she served Ramsay jarred sauce while arguing about it. During the punishment, she reminded Monique that if she had made her own sauce, they would not be sealing envelopes all night after the latter complained about it.

During prep, T felt that Chrissa needed to get focused right away, before threatening to beat her up if she would let them down. During dinner service, she served a special pan-seared prawn appetizer tableside. At one point, she found out that their pork was raw, and got dismayed that they were sinking like the Titanic after a strong start. The red team lost the service, and were asked to nominate two people for elimination. During deliberation, she ranted about their poor performance, before nominating Christine and Monique for their disastrous performance on meat. When Chrissa asked if anybody wanted coffee, she said that what she wanted was a cigarette and a W.

The red team eventually won the challenge 3-1, and they were rewarded with a trip to the Manhattan Beaches, got surfing lessons from surfer Anastasia Ashley, and eating lunch.

Then, she told Sarah to stop second-guessing herself, and yelled that Monique did not get her shift together after the latter said that she did. Then, she pushed the red team to nominate Sarah and Monique in order to force Ramsay to eliminate the latter, and while she knew that their strategy was risky, she hoped that it would work.

T was not nominated for elimination, and while being dismissed, she was livid that the plan did not work, and even thought about packing Monique’s bags herself.

Episode 5

Back in the dorms, T deemed Monique a lost cause after the latter refused to talk through her problems with the red team.

During the International Cheese Challenge, T went up against Bret, and their dish was a calzone. After seeing Monique lose the first round, she admitted that she was not surprised, and even said that she would not even trust the latter to pour her seltzer water. She was the final person from the red team to have her dish judged by Ramsay, and presented her rustic calzone with ground pork, fontina cheese and a sweet and spicy sauce. Ramsay praised the sauce for lifting the dish up, she scored that round which was the winning point for the red team, and she was to have taken down Bret a peg. During the Greek Cuisine Challenge, T went up against Randy, and their dish was squid. After Michelle's dish received poor reviews, she annoyingly told the latter that her kiwi and fraiche plan was doomed from the start. She was the fourth person from the red team to have her dish judged, and presented her kale stuffed chicken on a sweet potato hash. It was praised for being well executed, and she received 7 points. The red team eventually lost the challenge 40-41, and they were punished by cleaning up both the dining room, and the kitchens for the following service.

During dinner service, T was on the appetizer station with Meghan. While her risotto was accepted, she was shocked when Alison struggled on the lobster tail, as she thought that the latter knew better. Later that night, she was seen helping Sarah on meat, but got annoyed when the latter continued to slice a lamb that was raw, and revealed that they did not trust Sarah for that reason. After seeing Sarah and Christine's mistakes, she compared the two’s poor performance to the headless horsemen.

The red team lost the service, and they were asked to nominate two people for elimination. During deliberation, T asked Sarah if she could explain her poor performance, and reminded the latter about how disorganized she was on meat. Then, she agreed with Michelle on how Alison's lobster tails forced them to restart their first order of appetizers, and remarked that Christine did not have an assertive voice.

They were praised for having a great flavor, the acidity, heat, and crunch, she scored 11 points, and said that she wanted the fucking W. Back in the dorms, she complained that they would have loved to have the judges rate their dishes higher. During the punishment, she got disgusted on the fact that it was a meat milkshake, said that her milkshake tasted very gamey, and threw up.

Before the Progress Reports, T got concerned as she did not know what to expect. She was the first chef to be called down to Ramsay's office. He remarked that she has been a fierce competitor since the beginning, and when he asked her where the desire came from, she revealed that she wanted to make a better life for her 12-year-old daughter. Knowing that she was very determined to get to the end, Ramsay advised her to be more focused, disciplined, and vocal. She was not deemed the weakest chef on the red team by her teammates, and therefore did not participate in the Cook For Your Life Challenge. During the challenge, she got concerned as Christine was out in the open without anybody to hide behind.

During the Homecoming Dance dinner service, she was on the fish station. At the start, she told Meghan that she was about to drop her lobster tails, but despite being confident in her skills, her butter started to overflow and cause a fire on her flattop, much to her embarrassment. Ramsay put the fire out, lectured her to watch her station, and said that he would not let a fire evacuation happen on his watch. Later, she asked Meghan for an opinion on the snapper as, despite deeming it a simple menu, she never worked with snapper before. Then, Sous Chef Andi rejected her snapper for looking too dark, and while Ramsay reminded her about timing, she managed to get her refire accepted. The red team won the service.

During elimination, T said goodbye to Meghan as the latter was transferred to the blue team, and welcomed Josh as a new teammate. While being dismissed, she declared that she would become the new leader of the red team.

While shopping at Kitson, she believed that they bonded as a team, before declaring that they would crush that night’s service.

During the closed charity night dinner service, T was in charge of the pan-seared salmon, declared that she was ready to bust it out, and knew that the red team had to bounce back. When Josh tried micromanaging her cooking, she argued that she knew what she was doing, and got her dishes out with no problem. Later, she told Michelle to fuck off after the latter tried to tell her to plate the same way she did, and it continued through desserts and clean up.

The red team lost the service, and were asked to nominate two people for elimination. During deliberation, T considered Josh for the overcooked tuna incident, but when he he argued that kitchens were run by communication and listening, and not yelling or attacking people, she felt that the latter was looking like a dick for trying to pass off the blame, even though Michelle agreed with him.

She was not nominated for elimination.

Episode 12

During the King of the Hill Challenge, T received rib cap from her locker, and while she did not know what the fuck it was, she decided to take it. She was the first chef to have her dish judged, said that she was waiting for a challenge like that to come, and said that it was time for her to shine as an individual. She presented her mustard ju rib cap with vegetables and bacon, it was praised for being cooked beautifully, being cohesive, and sat in the throne after. While she won over Milly and Josh's dishes, she was dethroned after Meghan's dish was deemed better.

During the reward, T noticed the fishpedo button inside the submarine, the red team were happy to find that it shot out fish food, and she compared them to mini Jaws as they were fighting for the food.

During prep, while T considered Michelle annoying, she tried to calm down an argument between the latter and Josh. During the Steak Night dinner service, she was on the meat station. At one point, she got annoyed that he snapped at her, and reminded him that they were in Hell’s Kitchen, they were working under Ramsay’s standards, and there were black jackets on the line. That led to a snapping fest between the two as she refused to let Josh talk to her like a child. After Alison sent overcooked salmon, Ramsay relocated her to the fish station, she announced that she needed four minutes on her salmon, asked Josh to get garnish ready, and knew that despite being in a sinking position, she wanted to get rolling and not have fish be the zero instead of a hero. Finally, she got the salmon refire accepted, but Ramsay still had the black jackets come and help the red team complete service.

The red team lost the service, and both teams were asked to nominate two people from the red team. During deliberation, T called the red team’s performance a fucking epic fail, and angrily compared their performance to how a first-day culinary student would perform, before asking Alison what happened that night. When it was revealed that the correct protein was sea bass, she was relieved that she trusted Milly's instinct. However, they lost the challenge to Michelle and Nick as they got the sauce for the broth incorrect.

T was punished by participating in recycling day, and making 150 pounds of mashed potatoes for the Midnight Mission. Back at the patio, she said that it was a rewarding punishment. During the punishment, she suggested to Josh that he breathe through his mouth after he was gagging, and called him a child as he was doing very little. While prepping the mashed potatoes, she noticed that Josh had two separate mashed potato pots in front of him, and despite suggesting that he mix them together, he said that he did not have a lot of space. That annoyed her as she accused Josh of doing the easier stuff, asked him to hammer the potatoes, and called him a little bitch. That led to an argument between the two over who was doing their job correctly.

During dinner service, T was on the fish station with Nick. She asked Josh for a time, but the latter failed to give her one until Meghan gave her one. However, she was annoyed that Josh refused to hear anything at services, other than his own head, and called him a dangerous person to work in the kitchen. While she sent up her salmon, Josh felt that the lamb was undercooked, and put it back in the oven, and when the latter tried arguing that he did not know she was going up and that she did not tell him, she stated that she did tell Josh earlier, and accused him of zoning out five minutes ago. After Tatum O'Neal asked for a halibut, she declared that she was going to send out great fish, and O’Neal was happy about her new dish.

After service, Ramsay asked the final six to nominate two people for elimination. During deliberation, T knew that there were a lot of strong people left, and that it would suck to nominate two of them for elimination. Later, she recalled how Nick had a cold lobster tail sent back.

She was not nominated for elimination.

During the reward, despite being scared of heights, she ended up enjoying the view of Los Angeles.

During prep, T saw Michelle's unwatched pot smoking, and then, caught on fire. During dinner service, she was on the garnish station. After Michelle's scallops were rejected for having no sear on the bottom, she called it unacceptable. After Milly sent up watery scallops, she called it ridiculous. She was the fourth person to perform as Ramsay's Sous Chef, and knew that stepping up as Ramsay’s Sous Chef was a big opportunity. however, Milly was unresponsive on her call for the scallop refire, and soon after, rejected Nick's Wellingtons for being raw. When she asked Nick for the refire, he did not respond. After her turn was up, she took over the meat station from Nick. However, she found out that Nick failed to put in the lamb, despite it being on the order, and got annoyed when he asked her for a time on the lamb. Later, she found herself in a debacle as Nick’s poor performance had a lot of Wellingtons cut and raw on the station, announced that she needed four more minutes on Wellingtons, and soon after, announced that she only had one Wellington left.

After service, Ramsay asked the final five to nominate two people for elimination. During deliberation, T said that at that point, they were only as good as their last meal, and declared that nobody was safe in the competition, before asking who made the most mistakes out of all of them. Then, she considered Nick and Michelle for elimination.

During the Vegetarian Budget Challenge, T identified herself as a meatatarian, and that she never ventured into the realm of vegetarianism unless she was forced, blindfolded, kidnapped, and for Ramsay. During the cooking, decided to go back to her roots, and revealed that she was making a vegetarian version of chicken and dumplings with tofu. She was the first person to have her dish judged, and presented her chic pea dumpling in a fennel broth, and ginger butter tofu. Ramsay admitted that while he was never a big fan of tofu before, her dish convinced him, and praised the broth for being delicious, despite saying that the dumplings should have been softer on the inside.

T lost the challenge to Meghan, but was chosen to go on the reward with her. They were rewarded with with a private ride on a motorboat in Newport Beach, received a parasailing experience, and ate at the Studio at the Montage Lagoon Beach for a three-course dinner. During the reward, she admitted that she herself was afraid of heights as well, but felt that it would not be too bad with Meghan by her side, and called parasailing experience exhilarating. During dinner, she called the location amazing.

During prep, while T was proud of making it that far, she knew that she had to continue to propel herself forward, just as a quick flare-up occurred. Before service began, she received a visit from her girlfriend and daughter. During dinner service, she was on the meat station. At one point, she said that she needed one minute for her Wellingtons to cook properly, did not know what was going on, and got fearful that she would be eliminated because of it. After, an impatient Ramsay asked her for a time, and she managed to get the Wellingtons up on time. She was the final person to run the pass, and while she got vocal on orders, she felt immense pressure as she had to prove herself. Then, Sous Chef Andi brought up a Wellington that had lamb inside instead of beef, but she was able to catch that mistake, and orders were being sent out after Sous Chef Andi brought up the real ones. He strong leadership allowed the last couple of orders to be sent out.

After service, Ramsay asked the final four to decide on two people that did not deserve to be in the final two. During deliberation, T considered that Michelle was undeserving due to being nominate three times before, and was shocked when Meghan announced she wanted the latter to be with her in the finals. After, she said that she wanted to go up against Meghan as, despite losing to her twice before, she wanted to whoop her ass, and while she said that everybody wanted to be in the finals, she knew that there were only two spots available.

T announced that that Milly did not deserve to be in the finals for not having the finesse at the moment, while Michelle and Meghan believed that she did not deserve to be in the finals. After Milly's elimination, she was named the second finalist, with Meghan as the first. After Michelle's elimination, Ramsay told the final two that they were in one hell of a finale, and revealed that there was somebody he wanted them to meet. Then, a silhouette was shown through Ramsay’s office, and the episode ended as a cliffhanger.

Episode 16

Continuing from the previous episode, T was excited to see Season 10 Christina, and when going back to the dorms to pack for Las Vegas, she carried Meghan all the way there, while still being in shock that she was in the final two. At Las Vegas, she wondered if she had done anything good in her life to be in Vegas with Christina , and after seeing her hotel room at the Paris Hotel, she was still dumbfounded over being here. After getting some hints from Christina for the final dinner service, she received a newfound inspiration, and declared that she was going to rock. Back at Los Angeles, she was shocked to find out that they were driving down to Ramsay's house, and after meeting his wife and daughter, she called it neat. However, it was soon revealed that it was not actually Ramsay's house, and was the stage for the final challenge.

During the Final Tasting Challenge, T planned on making her dishes simple like she did back at home. On the beef entrée round, her pan-seared filet with blue cheese butter and assorted mushrooms was praised for having the beef cooked well, and she scored 8 points. She won the challenge 42-41.

T was rewarded with picking first for her brigade. She picked Milly as her first pick, Nick as her second, Adam as her third, and Christine as her last, hoping that Meghan chances would get hurt by having Randy on her team. Back in Hell's Kitchen, she told her team about station placements, and went through the menu with them. During prep, she found out the Christine did not toast the ravioli on time, and felt that her team was not working together at the moment, as it was her life on the line.

During dinner service, T was confident that Christine always had strong starts on appetizers, but the latter sent under portioned salads to the pass. Later, she found out that Adam's rib cap felt raw, and told him to focus. However, his second attempt was raw again, and after Ramsay warned her that she was dying, she urged Adam to pick it up, but Ramsay felt that things were going slow. Realizing that she was at a critical point, she decided to relocate Adam to garnish, and put Nick on meat. Later, Adam told her that he had no idea what was going on with garnish, and she had Nick come and help the former. Then, she moved Christine on garnish, but the latter's truffle mac was lacking liquid, she was annoyed that the former was screwing her on both sides, and decided to move everybody around to make sure Christine and Adam were driving. While she admitted that she lost all confidence in Christine’s abilities, she decided to be quiet about it as it might affect her confidence. After serving the chef’s table, her team was close to completing service, and after, she admitted that her service was not perfect, she was glad that they pushed hard.

Back in the dorms, T was called a beast by Meghan, she herself believed that while technique could be taught, a person’s heart could not, and believed that her passion would allow her to win. When she came to Ramsay's office, Ramsay told her that she was an outspoken leader in the kitchen, and more importantly, thrived under pressure. Then, she stood in front of a door, knowing it would open only if she was the winner. After waiting nervously for Ramsay's countdown to end, she turned the handle, but her door did not open.

T became the runner-up, took her loss gracefully, felt that going up against Meghan was an honor, and was thankful for the experience, before congratulating the latter on her victory.
