Season 2[]

Episode 1[]

Main article: Episode 201 - 12 Chefs

The twelve contestants arrived in Hell's Kitchen on a bus and were greeted by Jean-Philippe. Sara was very excited about this chance of a lifetime. They celebrated with some champagne glasses, got to know each other, and had a first look at the restaurant. Afterwards, Ramsay walked through the hallway, opened the dining room doors, and greeted the contestants by introducing himself and announcing that only one of them would win the competition. The only way that person would win though was to impress him, and asked he all of them to cook their signature dishes.

During the Signature Dish Challenge, Sara was the eleventh person to have her dish judged by Ramsay. Before having her dish judged, Ramsay had her taste Giacomo's Frutti di Mare, and she found the dish to be very nice. She made a herb-crusted salmon with crab pasta, but Ramsay found it overcooked and compared it to a big ball of mush. However, she argued that she did the best of what she had because he did not barf it out. After the challenge, she was placed in the red team because Ramsay declared that for the first time ever, the teams were divided by gender, men in the blue team and women in the red team. After hearing that, she wanted to prove that women in the kitchen were not catty.

Before service, Sara was one of the four women who volunteered to be the kitchen donkey, but Heather was eventually chosen over her. During dinner service, she was at the garnish station. When Ramsay asked Polly for a time on the refired appetizers, she tried to overtake her by saying two minutes. When an annoyed Ramsay asked who was running appetizers, Polly said she was and pushed her off her station. She was hurt by that and told Polly not to crawl up her ass like a hemorrhoid just for trying to help. When Heather, who switched stations with Polly, sent an acceptable risotto, she started cheering, only to be calmed down by the former. However, Ramsay heard that, schooled her on her behavior, and said there was nothing to cheer about as the first table went out after nearly two hours of service. However, she felt she should not have been shouted at and felt like a little worm on a big hook. After three hours with barely any food served from both kitchens, Ramsay shut down the service after some customers shouted, "I want my food!" all over the dining room.

During the post-mortem, Ramsay reminded Sara's cheering after two hours and one table and gave out his own cheer by spelling out crap. The red team lost the service, and Heather was named "Best of the Worst". During deliberation, Polly reminded her about her attempt to overtake her on appetizers, and Heather knew she should have kept her mouth shut that night instead of repeating two minutes fifteen times. She approached Heather privately and apologized about the cheering, but the former asked how she could smile afterwards because her dream could have ended at that moment.

Sara was not nominated for elimination. While being dismissed, she predicted that the audience would talk down on the women after that night and admitted that they were right.[1]

Episode 2[]

After elimination, Sara was disappointed, humbled, and humiliated to be a female chef after the red team's loss.

The following day, after only two hours of sleep, the contestants were woken up by Sous Chefs Scott and Mary-Ann playing cowbells at 5:24 AM. They were told to go outside immediately. Once out at the loading area, Ramsay recalled how the previous service was embarrassing. Afterwards, Ramsay wanted them to know how much food they wasted last night as a restaurant would never survive with a lot of waste. To get his point across, Ramsay ordered the chefs to jump into the dumpsters and pull out all the garbage from last night. Sara complained that the dumpster smelled like piss and shit during the task. After that, Ramsay told the contestants that he did not want another large amount of waste in the competition again. Now that the chefs understood the lesson, Ramsay ordered them to clean up because they stunk.

During the Perfect Steak Cut Challenge, Sara was the first person from the red team to have her attempts accepted. She knew that a win was a big deal for her as the heat was on. She got three steaks accepted, and the red team eventually won the challenge 12-11. They were rewarded with a helicopter ride to The Saddle Peak Lodge to have lunch with Ramsay.

The next morning, Sara answered the phone which was ringing in the dorms. A hospitalized Larry called, telling her and the other contestants that he would not return to the competition. During prep, she was happy about Larry's departure as she felt she was one step closer to her dream.

Before service, she was assigned as a waitress by Ramsay. When the doors opened, she delivered her first ticket quickly in the red kitchen. After an hour into service with a major communication breakdown in the red kitchen and Heather's departure to the hospital, Ramsay allowed her request to come back in the kitchen with her red jacket on, calling it the best thing he had heard from her since she began. She was assigned to the meat station and wanted that to be her moment to shine. The women rallied to try and finish service as they began serving entrées, and she felt their wheels finally had some grease to them before calling it a glimpse of hope. She was complimented for serving nice Wellingtons. Three hours into service, Ramsay made her and her team stand in front of the pass to look in the dining room. When almost every customer left, Ramsay shut down both kitchens. The red team won the dinner service.[2]

Episode 3[]

Main article: Episode 203 - 9 Chefs

The following day, when Tom answered the phone, and Ramsay told him to get everybody in the dining room immediately, in their uniforms. Everybody came down within minutes, but Ramsay saw that Sara was not around. She just came out of the shower, was a little upset that nobody waited for her, and raced downstairs to join her teammates. However, Ramsay sarcastically welcomed her and asked if she thought it was a joke, even though she argued it was not.

Before the Relay Challenge, Sara was unsympathetic about Heather volunteering to sit out of the challenge and called her a princess. During the challenge, she was the last of her team to go. While waiting, she was annoyed by Heather's way of giving her tips and responded disrespectfully by flipping the birds to her. When it was her turn to go, Maribel never told her what the third dish was, so she worked on the chicken and salmon, forgetting the tortellini. So, she only brought two entrées to the pass. Despite that, the red team won the challenge 2-1. They were rewarded with a day on a yacht with Ramsay.

During prep, Sara was getting annoyed by Heather's leadership. During dinner service, she was at the appetizer station. She was annoyed by Heather's abrasive way of telling her what to do and compared the latter to a drill sergeant. When Ramsay asked for a time, both answered, making Ramsay annoyed. She called out the order again, and Ramsay reminded Heather that the appetizer station was her responsibility. That made her smile, stating that she would have never graduated from culinary school if she did not know how to make risotto. When Ramsay lectured Heather for her mistake on a wine sauce, she smiled at her teammate's struggle, and her appetizers were praised for being excellent. An hour later, she helped her team send out many entrées in the dining room. Later, when Maribel told Ramsay she had only six Wellingtons when eight were on order, Ramsay schooled her for talking over him. After three hours of frustration, Ramsay shut down both kitchens. The red team won the dinner service, and Ramsay praised her performance, naming her the best of the women so far. After elimination, she felt she proved herself as a chef despite being an idiot.[3]

Episode 4[]

Main article: Episode 204 - 8 Chefs

The next morning, Ramsay noticed that Sara was emerging as a leader on the red team, along with Rachel and Heather. After that, she said goodbye to Heather, who was transferred to the blue team. She was happy to see Heather go as she felt it was now time for her to take the reins of the red team. Afterwards, the chefs took a trip to Los Angeles, where they went to Pink's Hot Dogs, and she was happy to go on a field trip. Afterward, they returned to the restaurant to prep the kitchen for the first lunch service of Hell's Kitchen. During prep, she felt Rachel would crumble after Heather's departure.

Sara was at the pizza station during the Lunch Service Challenge. Before tickets came in, she cut her finger, and Sous Chef Mary-Ann and Rachel helped her to get her injury healed fast. She did not appreciate that, and said she needed space and a minute to herself. Later, there was a power struggle because she and Rachel wanted to be the red team's leader. Rachel and Maribel came to help her at the pizza station, but she did not appreciate their help, saying she could handle it by herself. Later, she sent up square pizzas, but while Ramsay told her to treat the kids with respect, she accused Rachel of rolling them. Despite some difficulties, the team finished all their tickets in time and celebrated along with the children in the dining room. However, the red team lost the challenge as their food was rated 9.84 out of 10, compared to the blue team's 9.85.

The red team was punished by cleaning the messy dining room after the children left. During the punishment, Sara said she was rethinking her decision to have children now, and inhaled helium and made weird sounds while spraying water on the floor. However, Rachel was pissed as she busted her ass to help her team win and felt that she did not care if they lost. Later that day, she and Rachel began a heated argument based on her attitude.

During prep, the red kitchen was too silent because of the animosity between her and Rachel. She predicted some defeats for the red team, before hoping to see Rachel eliminated. During dinner service, she was at the fish station. She did not communicate well with Rachel when she was about to plate her first appetizer, but that irritated the latter as she called it out three times. Later, when Virginia asked her if she was ready with her turbot, she answered that she was. So, Virginia sent her Wellingtons to the pass, but she did not bring her turbot, saying she did not even start cooking it. When Ramsay berated Virginia for her supposed team sabotage, she was laughing in her head because her plan of sabotage worked. However, Virginia was pissed at her for sabotaging her, but she had no remorse. While Rachel was gone, Virginia, Maribel and her succeeded in sending out many entrées. An hour later, after a lot of frustration in both kitchens and only half of the dining room served, Ramsay kicked both teams out of the kitchen.

Both teams were named joint losers, and they were asked to nominate one person each. During deliberation, Virginia cried about Sara's sabotage technique and felt betrayed by her. Virginia could not take being called a liar by Ramsay and asked her why she was so passive-aggressive. However, she tried to excuse herself by saying she wanted Virginia to learn from her mistakes.

Sara was not nominated for elimination, and Ramsay told her she showed some initiative that night, which Virginia disagreed with by shaking her head. When she announced Virginia as the red team's nominee, Ramsay questioned that decision. Ramsay asked her if the red team considered Rachel, but while she answered they did, she felt the latter did not make many mistakes compared to Virginia. While being dismissed, she warned the others to watch out.[4]

Episode 5[]

Main article: Episode 205 - 7 Chefs

Back at the dorms, Virginia declared war against Sara, saying that she was now an enemy for betraying her. However, she did not care one bit, telling Virginia to grow up.

The next morning, Sara tasted some fine-dining dishes, which included caviar, cheese fondue, pâté, and chicken kebab. She was a little confused why Ramsay was serving caviar to them after a horrible dinner service, but she tasted it anyways. After a few minutes, Ramsay revealed all those dishes were fake and introduced the Blind Taste Test. After seeing Heather get two, she was in glee. She was the final person from the red team to compete and went up against Garrett. She was able to get scrambled eggs and spinach correct, and the red team won the challenge 7-6. They were rewarded with a photo shoot for TV Guide. She said the taste of success was sweet, knowing that it was time to regroup as a team after some personality conflicts. During the reward, she gave Garret some shade when the latter came to serve them more champagne. During the photo shoot, she blew gas in Ramsay’s direction, and a disgusted Rachel felt she was not leadership worthy.

When Sara returned from her reward, she was annoyed by Rachel and Heather's friendship as she found it unprofessional because both were making eyes at the other. During prep, she felt she had a passive-aggressive role compared to Rachel.

During dinner service, Sara was at the garnish station. She was unnoticed during that service as she did not make many mistakes. After service was shut down because of Rachel's poor performance at the meat station, the red team lost the dinner service. Virginia was named "Best of the Worst". During deliberation, Virginia considered her for elimination after sabotaging her in the previous service, but she felt that one incident over her overall performance was unacceptable. Then, she and Maribel said they would pick Rachel for screwing up service.

Sara was not nominated for elimination, despite Virginia giving a very long speech about how she could have been nominated as well.[5]

Episode 6[]

Main article: Episode 206 - 6 Chefs

The next morning, at 6:32 AM, Sous Chef Scott and Mary-Ann woke up the contestants with megaphones, shouting all over the dorms and telling them to get outside immediately with their jackets on. During the Three Course Meal Challenge, Sara got annoyed by Virginia's attempt at leadership, feeling she did not have what it took. During the cooking, Virginia told her to roast the bell peppers and she was seen micromanaging Maribel's work. She was the first person from the red team to have her dish judged by Ramsay and went up against Garrett. She made a bell pepper soup, and despite Ramsay praising the appetizing color, the peppers were burned. Virginia took responsibility for that mistake as she told her to roast the peppers but also noted that she did not say anything against it. However, she felt that Virginia’s time to shine did not work out.

The red team won the challenge, and they were rewarded with a night out with Ramsay at three different restaurants in Hollywood. When the red team went out to sunbathe, the blue team attacked them for unfairly winning the challenge. However, Sara felt their attacks were pathetic and they were just sore losers. During the reward, she was excited to see what Ramsay had planned for them. The first restaurant they went to was Providence, and she felt she was getting the Hollywood treatment with Ramsay being a gentleman. However, Virginia was not impressed with her attempts to flirt. The second restaurant they went to was Nick & Stef's Steakhouse, but arriving there, she got annoyed when Virginia was unable to properly ask a question to the owner of the restaurant.

The next day, both teams were asked to create their own menus. During the menu planning, Sara claimed she made a rack of lamb that was so good she was fired from her previous restaurant. During dinner service, she was at the meat station and had her Colorado rack of lamb featured on the menu. When Virginia struggled on scallops, she offered to help, but the former refused it. She got annoyed at Virginia’s pride and called her an idiot. On entrées, she sent in her lamb entrées, but it turned out to be poorly sliced, and Ramsay was even angrier when she claimed she was learning, despite the dish being her idea in the first place. Ramsay asked if she was blind as her poor lamb was not going anywhere except for the bin. When the red team struggled to send out entrées, an impatient Ramsay told her he was about to send out the blue team’s third order of entrées and threatened her with elimination unless she moved her ass as it was becoming an embarrassment. She argued that her teammates did nothing to help her, and her next lamb dish was raw. That forced Ramsay to tell Jean-Philippe to take the lamb off the menu and angrily ordered her not to touch another lamb for the rest of the night. When the red team continued to struggle, Ramsay told her that her tied and stuffed salmon was not working out, noting that it was the third item from the red team that was impractical. Then, Ramsay suggested that they slice the salmon into slices, but when she argued about consistency, Ramsay finally had enough and scolded her on her attitude as she was pissing around with something that was not working. Afterwards, the red team received help from the finished blue team to complete their orders.

The red team lost the service, and Ramsay called Sara's performance her worst so far. They were asked to nominate one teammate. During deliberation, she admitted that it was the first time in years she cooked meat, but that caused Virginia to ask why she even suggested the lamb in the first place. However, she pointed out that Virginia screwed up on her station as well, leaving Heather in glee over the catfight. Then, she asked Maribel where she was during prep, but the latter felt the former screwed up the most that night, with Virginia agreeing with her. Virginia accused her of not having remorse for her mistakes, but she simply did not care.

At elimination, Ramsay changed his mind and nominated Sara and her two teammates. During her plea, she believed she was the most responsible for the red team’s dynamics and admitted that her big mistake was on the lamb, but when Ramsay asked Virginia how she felt about that, the latter said she was sick over that claim, pointing out that she was the one who pushed for the lamb in the first place. Although Ramsay felt that she had her head tucked way inside her ass, she survived elimination. While being dismissed, she felt that Virginia was disposable for being nominated three times now.[6]

Episode 7[]

Main article: Episode 207 - 5 Chefs

When Virginia was crying on her bed after surviving elimination for a third time, Sara comforted her as the former had no one else to go to. Still, she faked feeling compassion for Virginia and felt the latter deserved to go home.

The following day, before the next challenge, Ramsay announced the remaining five contestants would become one team, which was the black team. Sara was the second one to receive her black jacket. During the 10 Ingredient Challenge, she realized she had no time to cook the lentils with only ten minutes left. After the time was up, she was the last person to have her dish plated. She was the fourth person to have her dish judged by Ramsay and made a grilled veal with a sauce of toasted prawn shells. While Ramsay said the presentation was boring, he felt the flavours worked well. She lost the challenge to Keith, and was punished by participating in Bug Night. During the punishment, she mimicked Darth Vader from Star Wars when in the fumigation suit.

During prep, Sara was annoyed by Heather's leadership as she felt she was just barking out orders. During dinner service, she was at the appetizer station with Heather. When cooking her first order of scallops, she used a non-stick pan and kept flipping them over, which resulted in them becoming overcooked. Ramsay was so furious about that mistake that when he schooled her about it, his voice cracked, and he asked what non-stick meant in Texas. Despite that, she redeemed herself when she was properly cooking scallops. When the twelve-top table arrived, the pressure shifted to her and Heather, as they had to get 12 starters at the same time. When she said she had to serve five scallops per portion, Ramsay asked if they were small or massive. She said medium, giving Ramsay a cloth to wipe her glasses, and afterwards, she said large. So, Ramsay told her to serve four scallops per order. Although she felt like Heather's whipping post, they were able to get their appetizers accepted.

Ramsay reminded Sara of her rough service when the final five were lined up, and Keith was named "Best of the Worst". During deliberation, she told Keith how hard it was to work with Heather and asked for another chance.

Sara was not nominated for elimination, and while being dismissed, she said she was not a doormat.[7]

Episode 8[]

Main article: Episode 208 - 4 Chefs

Back in the dorms, Sara thought that Virginia had no skills whatsoever and that Heather and Keith were her biggest competition.

The following day, when Ramsay asked the final four who they thought was the strongest chef, Sara and Heather and Keith answered herself. Ramsay declared they were all strong chefs and named the reward of the next challenge before explaining it, which was a guaranteed spot in the final three. After that, she put blindfolds on, along with her teammates, and they were taken to a secret location where they would run their own individual restaurants. On the drive there, she called it a great opportunity to run a team. Once there, it was revealed that the restaurants were catering trucks, but she called it a big dream of hers to run one.

During the 100 Portions Construction Workers Challenge, Sara made seared quail with salad and fresh berries. While serving her plates to the construction workers, Sara spoke in her native tongue, which was Spanish, hoping it would help her chances. Although she wanted the clench the victory, she lost the challenge to Virginia and was punished by prepping crab for the next dinner service. During the punishment, she warned the others not to let a crab pinch them, and joined Heather and Keith's plan of leaving Virginia aside if she would ever need help. When Virginia returned from her reward, she received a very cheap present from her, a cow. She gave Virginia the cold shoulder because she did not want to be friends with her any longer.

During prep, Sara remarked that although Virginia was safe, she was a mess during the line and wanted to focus on herself that night. When Ramsay announced that three master chefs were dining that night, she freaked out.

During dinner service, Sara was at the fish station. She and Keith took the kitchen off to a great start by sending many appetizers out in a record time of 30 minutes. When the master chefs arrived, she wanted to serve one monkfish and two scallops, but Ramsay told her to get all three VIPS of them the same dish, so she chose the scallops Saint-Jacques. Later, she declared she needed two minutes on the salmon, so Heather had to take her duck back. While she acknowledged her mistake, Ramsay said he knew it was her mistake, claimed that the duck was perfectly cooked and that she was holding the entrées back. When she said she needed two minutes again, Ramsay was discouraged, and Heather had to refire her duck. Ramsay warned her that she could not sabotage their service as it was so far immaculate. Later, she announced she was running out of salmon for the night, much to Ramsay's disbelief. She checked with Jean-Philippe if she could serve turbot instead, but when Ramsay was schooling her about her performance, she talked back to him, saying come on. Ramsay became furious when she kept talking back to him and sent Heather to the fish station so she could help her. Although she refused Heather’s help and told her she was fine, Ramsay threatened her with elimination unless she spoke up. When her scallop dishes made it to the chefs' table, they received mixed reviews as Le Balch thought they tasted salty. When she asked Heather to slow down, Ramsay made her count the tickets, in which there were 10 left, and made her apologize to Heather for that comment like she meant it.

After service, Heather was named "Best of the Worst". During deliberation, Heather told Sara she was nominating her alongside Virginia, which made her ask why. Although shocked that she had to justify her reasoning, Heather felt that she made more mistakes than Keith, whose performance that night was okay. Heather reassured her that she was not going home as Virginia was taking herself out, and the three chefs toasted to themselves being in the final three.

Sara was Heather's second nominee for elimination, with Virginia being the first. During her plea, she refused to nitpick on what happened that night but knew she could hold her own despite her mistakes. When Ramsay offered Virginia her immunity back, she tried to speak up, only to be told to shut up. Ultimately, Virginia said she wanted to stay, and she was eliminated for her poor performance on the fish station. Still, Ramsay praised her hard work. Before she left, she gave a Texan farewell to Ramsay, saying, "Kiss my grits!" and received a retrospective montage of her run during her exit interview.

Ramsay's comment: "Sara's not good enough as a cook. She made so many simple mistakes, she definitely didn't merit to win her own restaurant. Hello sweetheart, kiss my grits!" [8]

Episode 10[]

Main article: Episode 210/211 - 2 Chefs/Winner

Sara was one of the six chefs that returned for the final dinner service. When the chefs came downstairs, a flashback of her being a waitress in the second service was shown. She was Heather's second pick, after Rachel and before Garrett. While reviewing the menu, she and Rachel declared that Heather had nothing to worry about as they wanted to see her win.

During dinner service, Sara was at the appetizer station. Heather pushed her for the appetizers, and she got them approved. However, a tart was sent back for tasting cold and bland and Heather told her to keep the tarts warm. Then, a salad was returned for being salty, and Heather told her to go light on the dressing. Heather worried that her weak performance could get ruin her chances of winning, and the former started snapping at her for the refire. Still, she told Heather to calm down. On desserts, Heather told her to replate some of the empanadas because she was not satisfied with them. When she sent them for the second time, the plates were not the same, and Heather told her to replate them again. That annoyed her as she did not see it as a big deal, but she knew she would get punched in the face if she said it. Heather eventually won the finals over Virginia.[9]
