Manda is one of the kinder chefs on her team, and is more often seen breaking arguments up than starting them. She is rarely seen on air without her glasses and gives off a nerdy vibe. However, she isn't the most vocal communicator during service, and this is usually the reason her teammates put her up for nomination. She also refuses to tolerate sexist treatment, as evidenced by her interactions with Frank in Season 15 and Josh in Season 17.
Season 15 Edit
Manda came on the coach with everyone else to Las Vegas to do her signature dish challenge at the BLT Steak inside Bally's and she also participated in her first dinner service.
Season 17 Edit
During dinner service, Manda got the entire red team thrown after serving raw salmon and burning the subsequent refire. Nominated along with Elise, however both are spared in favor of Ben due to health concerns.
During the Seafood Tower Challenge, the red team lost, despite a 30-second head start. They had to eat a repulsive fish stew and handle a large seafood delivery.
Manda's poor performance on garnish led to Barbie nominating her for elimination, even though the rest of the team believed Barbie and Robyn were the two worst performers of the night. However, she survived.
The red team won the letter challenge despite Manda scoring only 2 points, the second worst on the team. She did not make any errors during service, which the red team also won. Afterwards, a team switch was conducted in lieu of elimination.
Manda gets excited when Ben Ford, Harrison Ford's son, appeared as a guest judge for the team challenge. One of her moments of the season occurred in this episode, when she mimed using a lightsaber as a prop in a confessional. The red team lost the challenge and she lit into Josh during the punishment.
During dinner service, Josh continued to reject her attempts to help him on garnish, to the point where he gets thrown out of service, and ultimately off the show for attempting to re-enter the kitchen.
During the International Pizza Challenge, Manda scored a point. She was assigned to Vietnam. The red team won the challenge.
During dinner service, she needed Michelle to help her taste a pasta appetizer because she had celiac disease. Michelle told her the pasta was OK, but it was sent back for being undercooked. Manda asked Elise to taste the pasta instead and managed to serve an acceptable portion, leading the red team to victory.
During dinner service, Manda did not hear an order of pork for one table, and put her entire team behind on all the other orders. This led to her nomination (along with Barbie) and ultimately elimination.
Ramsay's comment: "Manda said she never heard the ticket that sunk her team. Sadly, she's not going to hear her name being called as the winner of Hell's Kitchen either."
- After her appearance on the show, she became manager at 2Good2B, a gluten-free bakery, in Rancho Bernardo, California, alongside Anthony from Season 11.
Season 15 Edit
- (after Frank misidentifies peanut butter as Snickers during the blind taste test): "Thanks a lot, Frank. You're getting a hug, whether you like it or not!"
- (describing Jared's efforts to apologize to Ashley over a reward trip) "Best drama queen in a reality show goes to...Jared!"
Season 17 Edit
- "I'm like a wizard."
