Jessica Vogel was a contestant on Season 12 of Hell's Kitchen. She ranked in 12th place.
Jessica was not the worst cook of that season, but lacked the confidence and energy. She could also be very emotional when up for elimination, when being under pressure, and when things would not go the way she wanted.
Season 12 Edit
During the Signature Dish Challenge, Jessica was the last person from the red team to have her dish judged by Ramsay, and went up against Scott. Her rosemary-crusted venison loin with goat cheese polenta was well received. She won the round over Scott, clinching the victory for the red team 5-4, which she deemed better than an orgasm.
Jessica was named the weakest chef from the red team by her teammates. So, she had to participate in the Cook For Your Life Challenge, where she faced Richard from the blue team. After deliberation, and before Ramsay announced his decision on who he was eliminating, the episode ended in a cliffhanger.
Returning from the previous episode, Jessica was eliminated by Ramsay for undercooking the lobster and overcooking the halibut during the challenge. On her way out, she cried and begged for Ramsay to give her a second chance, but got ignored by Ramsay. Ramsay gave no comment on Jessica's elimination, and she did not receive the coat hanging and burning picture sequence.
- She participated in the first ever Cook For Your Life Challenge, and she is the first contestant ever to be eliminated after that challenge.
- She is the second contestant who begged Ramsay to be kept in the competition after her elimination was officially announced, following Nilka from Season 7.
- She is the second returning contestant to be kicked out of the kitchen during the final service, following Dan from Season 11.
- "I just won the challenge for the whole girls' team! It's better than an orgasm!"
