Main article: Episode 1601 - When the Wall Comes Tumbling Down

On the bus ride to Hell's Kitchen, the chefs were expecting to arrive at the restaurant, but it instead pulled up to an army base. After leaving the bus, the chefs lined up in front of their own duffel bags, and as the Drill Sargent was barking out orders, a tank pulled up behind him, and Ramsay came out of it, with Heidi complimenting his appearance. Then, Ramsay explained that before the chefs could enter Hell’s Kitchen, he wanted to make sure that they all had the discipline to survive, noting that the army was the perfect example to prepare them. After, Ramsay said that if they could survive boot camp, then he will be convinced that they were worthy of competing. After changing into their uniforms, the chefs were put through an obstacle course and jogged over to Ramsay who was in front of a giant wall, which he called the toughest challenge. After the chefs claimed that they were ready, Ramsay was happy to hear it as the wall fell on him, revealing the front of the restaurant, and a large crowd waiting for them. Now that he saw the chef’s commitment and desire to compete, Ramsay announced that it was time for them to cook their signature dishes.

During the Signature Dish Challenge, Heidi was the ninth and final person from the red team to have her dish judged by Ramsay and went up against Johnny. She made ricotta gnocchi, and while Ramsay felt that there was too much arugula on the plate, the gnocchi was praised for having a nice sear, and she scored 4 points. The red team won the challenge 28-25, and they were rewarded with a ride on a stretch Hummer limousine, dinner at the Takami Restaurant with Ramsay, and a chance to meet Christina (Season 4) and Scott (Season 12). During the reward, she felt like she was a VIP.

During prep, Heidi said that she was ready for anything Ramsay wanted. During dinner service, she was on the appetizer station with Shaina. At one point, she and Jessica communicated over appetizer times. The red team won the service by a mile.[1]

Episode 2[]

Main article: Episode 1602 - Crepe Grand Prix

The next day, the chefs were driven in the SUV's, and while Heidi had no idea where they were going, she was ready for everything, before declaring that the blue team was going down. During the Crepe Grand Prix Challenge, she was paired up with Kimberly, and they were seen getting two of their attempts accepted. The red team lost the challenge 9-10, and they were punished by participating in fish delivery day which included taking in seafood, prepping them for the following service, and drinking a fish gut milkshake.

Before service, Heidi was pissed when Shaina revealed to have had a regular milkshake the day before and declared that she could not trust the latter as it made her not a team player. During dinner service, Heidi served a Dover sole appetizer with Shaina. She was not seen that night, and the red team won the service after completing the blue team's orders.[2]

Episode 3[]

Main article: Episode 1603 - The Yolks on Them

During the Ostrich Meat Challenge, Heidi was not seen during the first part. She was part of a three-person team with Kimberly and Heather, they were the second team from the red team to have their dishes judged, and went up against Aaron and Koop. She made a grilled orange and thyme top loin, it was criticized for having a lot of blood on the plate, with Ramsay saying that it looked like she slaughtered the ostrich, and she did not score for the red team. The red team won the challenge, and they were rewarded with a zip lining experience at Big Bear Lake and got to fly in a private jet. During the reward, she was happy to experience her first time on a private jet, and during the zip lining, she asked if she could dot the starfish.

During dinner service, Heidi was on the garnish station. She was not seen much, except for calling Kimberly the fish queen, for raw fish only, after the latter served overcooked scallops. The red team lost the service and were asked to nominate two people for elimination. During deliberation, she agreed with Shaina as there were some problems with fish that night.

Heidi was not nominated from elimination, and after Jessica said that she nominated herself so the red team would not argue, she told Ramsay that they were not even arguing when that happened, and believed that the latter had no fight left.[3]

Episode 4[]

Main article: Episode 1604 - Surf Riding & Turf Fighting

During the Protein Identification Challenge, Heidi wanted to pair up with Ryan as they were close friends, and ignored Shaina's suggestion of splitting them up, even dismissively telling the latter that she should not compete if her palate was weak. She and Ryan were the first pair to compete, and they randomly picked shrimp and guinea fowl. While she immediately thought of crab cake, she knew that nothing in Hell’s Kitchen was simple. their first two attempts, shrimp and chicken, and shrimp and turkey were incorrect, and she had to tell Shaina to shut up after the latter kept calling out chicken. Eventually, the two got their fourth attempt, shrimp and guinea fowl, correct. The red team lost the challenge 13 minutes and 41 seconds to 9 minutes and 46 seconds, and they were punished by making sausages from scratch and eating unknown proteins for lunch.

During dinner service, Heidi was on the meat station. She was not seen much, except for frustratingly ordering Gia to get her head in the game after the latter was disorganized, and the red team won the service.[4]

Episode 5[]

Main article: Episode 1605 - Walking the Plank

During the Seven Seas Seafood Challenge, Heidi chose to compete against Johnny from the blue team, their fish was Bluefin tuna, and that excited her as she was used to cooking fish from the Atlantic Ocean, and believed that Johnny dropped the ball on that one. She was the first person from the red team to have her dish judged by Ramsay and presented her sesame-crusted Bluefin tuna with a sake Asian stir-fry. It was praised for having a classy presentation, and she won that round over Johnny. After Kimberly's dish was poorly received, she said that the one word she did not want to hear from Ramsay was “dreadful”, before asking why the latter never asked for help. The red team eventually lost the challenge 4-5, and they were punished by taking in deliveries of vegetables, and prep them for a special seafood chowder appetizer the following service along with both kitchens.

During dinner service, Heidi was at the fish station. After seeing Estelle, she was star-struck and commented that she did not see a lot of celebrities in Maine. The red team won the service.[1]

Episode 6[]

Main article: Episode 1606 - Let the Catfights Begin

During the Ingredient Crossword Challenge, Heidi felt that lime was an ingredient she could work with after Wendy spelled it out, and during her turn, she spelled out turnip after struggling to spell out the bacon. She was the second person from the red team to have her dish judged by Ramsay and presented her curry chicken breast with brown butter carrot. It was praised for the fragrant ginger smell that matched well with the spice, and she scored 4 points. The red team lost the challenge 16-17, and they were punished by helping Marino prep for Family Night which included inflating balloons, resetting the dining room, baking a special batch of cookies for the kids, and organizing crayons. During the punishment, her request to Shaina for counting their cookie batches and whipping down a dirty counter was ignored.

During the Family Night dinner service, Heidi was on the appetizer station with Shaina. At one point, she pushed Shaina to put her pizza in the pizza oven, and despite warning about it needing a few more minutes, Shaina ignored her and sent it up to the pass. However, the pizza was raw, and she annoyingly felt that Shaina should listen to her next time. When Wendy was struggling with meat, she tried to urge her not to slow down. Both teams were named joint losers and were asked to nominate two people each.

She was not nominated for elimination.[5]

Episode 7[]

Main article: Episode 1607 - Don't Tell My Fiancé

During the Southern Cuisine Challenge, Heidi was paired up against Koop from the blue team, and their dish was shrimps. She was the fourth person from the red team to have her dish judged and presented her southern shrimp with summer polenta. While it was praised for well-cooked shrimp, Chris Hastings felt that it was not jumping off the plate worthy, and she did not score. The red team eventually won the challenge 3-2, and they were rewarded with a horseback riding experience at Gibson Ranch and lunch from the Wings and Waffles food truck.

During dinner service, Heidi was on the appetizer station with Kimberly. At one point, she admitted that she was concerned about Shaina as the latter has never worked on a station alone before, and while she hoped not to get Maloof’s order wrong, Shaina’s pan caught on fire. As Shaina continued to struggle, she annoyingly told the former to bounce back while being embarrassed for Maloof having to wait 10 minutes on the chicken refire. After being sent to the pantry room due to Wendy's raw catfish, she angrily yelled at the red team that they should start talking. After Shaina blamed Kimberly for turning down the ovens which led to raw Wellingtons, she believed that the oven was not to blame.

The red team lost the service and were asked to nominate two people for elimination. During deliberation, an angry Heidi argued that they were basing it off on both factors after Wendy tried to argue that they were choosing her based on overall performance.

Heidi was not nominated for elimination, and after Shaina argued that she only sent up poor Wellingtons, she reminded the latter about the multiple chicken refires. Later, she said goodbye to Shaina and Wendy as they were transferred to the blue team, and welcomed Andrew and Matt as new teammates.[6]

Episode 8[]

Main article: Episode 1608 - Dancing with the Chefs

Before the International Ballroom Planning Challenge, Heidi excitedly hoped they would be doing a dancing challenge after seeing the dancer’s practice. She was paired up with Heather on the chicken entrée, they were the first pair from the red team to have their dishes judged, and went up against Devin and Wendy. She made a chipotle oven-roasted chicken with fresh Spanish rice, the dish itself was mixed as while Johnston complained about the amount of spice, Ramsay felt that Heidi nailed the chicken, and she lost that round to the blue team. After Shaina received praise for her dish, she snarkily asked why the former did not perform that great on the red team. The red team won the challenge 2-1, and they were rewarded with a kayak trip at the Santa Barbara Mountains, and a seafood lunch at The Lark. After hearing about the reward, and she excitedly declared it a start of their winning streak, and declared that she loved her new red team.

During the International Ballroom dinner service, Heidi was on the garnish station with Andrew. She was not seen that night, and the red team won the service by a mile after completing the blue team's service.[7]

Episode 9[]

Main article: Episode 1609 - Spoon Fed

During the Blind Taste Test, Heidi was the first person from the red team to compete and went up against Wendy. She correctly guessed potato and peaches, saving Andrew from being splattered. During Kimberly's turn, she did not get splattered once. The red team lost the challenge after a tie at 13, and they were punished by participating in delivery day, and prep both kitchens for that night’s service. During the punishment, she felt that Andrew was trying to be perfect when he was not after he decided to carry more than he could, and when it was revealed that they took in 102 bags of ice instead of 52, she wanted to stab somebody because of that.

During prep, Heidi said that while the red team had confidence in their teammates, the blue team did not, which Heather agreed with. During dinner service, Heidi was at the fish station. She was not seen much, except for telling Matt that he had two lambs on order instead of the one he thought of, and also walking by when the blue team was being kicked out, and the red team won the service.

After Koop's elimination, Ramsay told the red team that he would need a volunteer to move over into the blue team to even up the numbers the next day. While being dismissed, Heidi said that no matter what color she was wearing, she was going to kick ass.[8]

Episode 10[]

Main article: Episode 1610 - Dancing in the Grotto

Back at the dorms, Heidi believed that she was a strong leader and that she could probably lead the blue team to victory, before volunteering herself as she knew how to get through to Shaina. The next day, she said goodbye to Ryan as the latter was reassigned to the blue team.

During the Creative Sliders Challenge, Heidi wanted to work with seafood as she was from Maine, but Matt wanted it as it was his thing, and when the red team allowed him to cook with seafood, she hoped that it would turn out good. During the cooking, she was scraping off the burnt parts on her buns to get her sliders accepted. After seeing Season 10 winner Christina as a guest judge, she got excited. After Matt argued that his slider was not a shrimp roll, she told him to calm down and listen as the judges knew what they were doing, said that his dish was not a slider, and told Ramsay that had she gotten seafood, she would have done a better job. She oversaw the poultry sliders, she was the third person from the red team to have her dish judged and went up against Devin. She made a cilantro chicken slider with pepper jack and Dijon vinegar sauce, it was praised for being lovely, she scored that round over Devin, and she was excited that Christina loved her food. When the score was tied at 3, the judges picked her dish as the best overall, the red team won the challenge, and she was excited that her dish won the challenge. The red team was rewarded with a day at the Playboy mansion, and she called it amazing as she idolized Playboy in every single way.

During dinner service, Heidi was on the appetizer station with Heather. At one point, she sent up a risotto that was bland and disgusting, and after ranting about their constant mistakes, Ramsay threatened to kick the red team out if they committed one more mistake. Both teams were named joint losers and were asked to nominate two each.

Heidi was not nominated for elimination, and after Matt believed that he was a good team player and communicated well, she told Ramsay that he had an attitude that made him hard to work with. While being dismissed, she called it intense that a double elimination occurred, before saying that she was one step closer to winning.[9]

Episode 11[]

Main article: Episode 1611 - Aerial Maneuvers

During the Taste It Now Make It Challenge, Heidi was already aware of the challenge from previous seasons but knew that a new twist would turn it upside down. She was paired up with Kimberly, and she cooked the dish. During the cooking, the two decided to cook both veal and pork just to be safe, and she commented on how stressful it was not being able to taste the dish, before knowing that she had to trust Kimberly’s decision. They used pork persimmon, and collard greens to recreate Ramsay's dish. While they got the persimmon correct, they failed on the rest of the ingredients, and the red team lost the service. They were punished by rearranging the dining room for that night’s closed dinner service, make beet flowers, and prep both kitchens.

During the Charity Night dinner service, Heidi was seen helping Andrew cook the scallops, and she was cooking the remaining scallops when Andrew decided to plate. She oversaw the salmon with fingerling potatoes course, but Ramsay noticed that she was not vocal with her team on her course, urged her to speak. After plating the course, she felt proud to hear Ramsay praise her dish. The red team won the service.[10]

Episode 12[]

Main article: Episode 1612 - Fusion Confusion

During the Fusion Cuisine Challenge, Heidi was the only chef that did not spin, and Ramsay allowed her to choose one of the three fusion pairings to cook with. She decided to pair up with Heather on the French and Japanese as she wanted to face off against Ryan. During the cooking, she and Heather talked about what their dishes were. They were the second pair from the red team to have their dishes judged, and she presented her French halibut with poached egg and stir fry vegetables. It was criticized for being a mess, and she lost that round to Ryan. After Kimberly scored a point, she was glad that the red team was still in it. The red team lost the challenge after a tie at one, and they were punished by taking in a delivery of a side of beef, breaking them down for a hanger steak special the following service, and taking in deliveries of potatoes.

During dinner service, Heidi was on the meat station. She was not seen much, except for telling Kimberly to hustle as the latter’s fish should have been done before her meat, and she decided to send it up despite that as she could not let it die. The red team won the service. While being dismissed, she felt that they were getting down to the nitty-gritty and was dreaming about the black jackets.[11]

Episode 13[]

Main article: Episode 1613 - Black Jacket Lounge

The next day, Heidi received a visit from her husband and daughter. During the first Black Jackets Challenge, she grabbed duck, parsnip, sweet potato, and two unknown ingredients. During the cooking, she wanted to stand out as an individual. She was the third person to have her dish judged by Ramsay and presented her duck breast with sweet potato purée and parsnips. It was criticized for not having a perfect execution as Ramsay would have rather her use the parsnips as the purée but he praised the duck for being cooked perfectly. After the judging, she knew how stressful it was to have their black jackets starring at them while waiting for Ramsay’s verdict. She was awarded the second black jacket, and she was excited about it. While going up the black jackets lounge with Heather, she was amazed to receive one of the first two black jackets and not do any more of the challenges that day.

During the second challenge, Heidi and Heather wondered when the next challenge was about to begin as the anticipation was killing them, and later she said that she thought either Paulie or Kimberly would be eliminated due to their poor performances in the previous challenge. After Ryan won a black jacket, she was excited to see the former as she wanted her up with them.

During the third challenge, Heidi was the second person to judge Andrew and Kimberly's dishes, and she voted for the former.[12]

Episode 14[]

Main article: Episode 1614 - Playing Your Cards Right

Back at the dorms, Heidi reminded Paulie that he could not be upset in a competition where there could be only one winner, and suggested that he let Andrew's elimination go.

Before the King of the Hill Challenge, Heidi noticed The Venetian banner behind him along with a poker table, and that excited her as she had four other people in her way. She buzzed in for carrots and Swiss chard, before comparing it to a game show, and after the other chefs got their three ingredients, she was given lemon. She was the third person to have her dish judged and presented her bone-in chicken with a purple and chive mashed potato purée, a carrot and tarragon purée, and Swiss chard sautéed in bacon. While it was praised for the lemon aspect, and being a nice dish, it criticized for being too busy, and she failed to dethrone Paulie. She lost the challenge to Heather, but the former picked her to come on the reward. They were rewarded with an overnight trip to Las Vegas and got to stay in the Presidential Suite at The Venetian hotel. During the reward, they were seen riding a limo to The Venetian, and during the gondola ride, she called her driver hot. At their suite, she thanked Heather for choosing her for the reward as it was nice to get out of the restaurant for a while.

During dinner service, Heidi was on the meat station. She was not seen much, except for knowing that there was added pressure with the Sous Chefs eating at the chef’s table, and did not want to fuck up that night. She did not participate as Ramsay's Sous Chef as the black jackets got kicked out of service before she could. While going back to the dorms, she was pissed that they embarrassed themselves in front of their Sous Chefs, the fact that she did not have a chance to perform as Ramsay’s Sous Chef, and believed that they were going backward.

The black jackets were asked to nominate two people, and during deliberation, Heidi brought up Paulie’s name due to his poor performance on fish, but when he accused the women of nominating him based on the fact he was the only male chef remaining, she reminded him that it was only her opinion and that the other women had their own opinions, before considering Kimberly as her second nominee for poor performance on appetizers. When Paulie continued to argue that they were nominating him based on gender lines, she angrily reminded him that it was not based on that decision, and told him not to act like he had a perfect service, before accusing him of feeling that he was being nominated over gender division and not his poor performance.

Heidi was not nominated for elimination, and after Kimberly and Paulie were eliminated, Ramsay announced that their next challenge would begin immediately, ending the episode on a cliffhanger.[13]

Episode 15[]

Main article: Episode 1615 - Tequila Shots?

Continuing from the previous episode, Ramsay announced the Tableside Challenge, but Heidi felt tired due to the service that night and called it crazy. During the shopping, she had an idea for a rainbow trout with parmesan cheese and wanted to show Ramsay her skills. After seeing that they were serving to chefs, she called it both awesome and intimidating as chefs were the toughest critics. She made a pan-seared rainbow trout with an herb spätzli, and during round one, she felt that she was doing good as her dish was time manageable, and knew that she could execute her dish. On round two, she explained to Bruce Kalman that she wanted to cook with fish as it had the technique to it, but stumbled when he asked her if beef did not have technique, and felt that she insulted him. On round three, she described her pesto as a traditional one to Steve Samson.

Heidi lost the challenge to Ryan, and was punished by making gift bags for the staff in honor of wait staff appreciation day, iron and press their uniforms, and polish their shoes. During the punishment, she got annoyed by Heather’s constant chatter and was going crazy by it.

During dinner service, Heidi was on the appetizer station. At the start, she knew that the only thing she was concerned about was good communication, but was slow as her flat-top was not hot enough. Despite that, the first order of appetizers was sent out, and she went up as the first person on the hot plate. After calling out the order, she received Sous Chef Aaron’s carbonara that had edamame instead of peas, but she did not notice it until she was urged by Ramsay. On the next order, she knew that she had to stay focused, and rejected both Sous Chef Andi’s risotto as it had carrot purée instead of butternut squash and Heather’s scallops for having inconsistent searing. However, despite an annoyed Heather telling her to tone it down, she ordered her for one more scallop as one of them was broken, even though Heather argued that it was not broken when she sent it up. Later, she failed to get the shrimp and calamari into the carbonara, and despite being accused by Heather of not being as good as she was, or sabotaging her, she managed to get the refire accepted on time. After, she got confused about Ryan's struggling order read, and her risotto was rejected for being undercooked, and her slow speed on the refire had Ramsay compare her to an old senior. When she continued to perform slowly, Ramsay accused her of sabotaging Ryan, but she got the refire accepted.

After service, Ramsay asked the final three to name one person that did not deserve to be in the finals. During deliberation, Heidi agreed with Ryan that Heather should not be in the finals as she felt that the latter's relationship with Andrew was not a good one, but agreed with Heather as well that Ryan shut down during service, especially when they were up at the pass.

At elimination, Heidi said that she deserved to be in the finals due to her confidence and that Heather did not deserve to be in the finals for not being on point, while not getting any votes herself. She was eliminated after Heather and Ryan were named the finalists, but before leaving, Ramsay praised her for being a solid competitor and having a solid attitude and allowed her to keep her jacket. She received a retrospective montage during her exit interview and later received the burning picture sequence.

Ramsay's comment: “Heidi is a very talented chef with a bright future. But it will not be at Yardbird in Las Vegas.” [14]

  • (After getting kicked out from service as Final 5 black jackets) "I'm definitely fucking pissed that we got kicked out. I didn't get a turn at the pass, and we are definitely taking steps backwards at this point."
  • (To Paulie) "I'm not putting you up because you're a guy, that's fucking bullshit right now!"
  • (After being eliminated) "I'm upset that I'm leaving, but I'm so grateful in how far I've been. My journey in Hell's Kitchen has been a rollercoaster. There's been ups and downs, but I've just been able to stay focused. I still can't contemplate all the stuff that I've been able to do. In Maine, there's no way I would have been able to do any of this stuff. I've grown so much. I'm confident in what I'm doing. I'm just excited to see what's next now."
