She was the winner of that season, and was awarded an executive chef position at the Red Rock Resort Spa and Casino in Las Vegas with a salary of $250,000, where she worked at the Terra Rossa Restaurant. On Season 6, she became Sous Chef for the red team.
Personality
As a contestant, Heather had a strong personality, and was very confident. She emerged very quickly in the competition as a leader. She always knew when to be serious, and when to have fun, and when she had fun, she could become wild, cracking jokes and making everybody laugh, even the audience, also forming a strong friendship with Rachel. All her great qualities made her the winner of that season. When she came back as a Sous Chef, she was one of the more reserved ones as she never yelled at the red team even when they made multiple mistakes.
Season 2
Episode 1
Heather served chocolate raspberry empanadas as her signature dish. While Ramsay was dismayed by the concept, he said it was the best dish he tasted so far with the only criticism being that the outside is too thick for him to digest. After the challenge, she was placed in the red team because Ramsay declared that for the first time ever, the teams are divided by gender, men in the blue team, women in the red team.
Before prep, Heather seemed confident and vocal, and declared she wants two women in the finals. Before service, she volunteered to be the kitchen donkey for her team, with the only help she can do is clean. She was very enthusiastic about that idea. Even when the first ticket arrived, she was already hard at work. After Polly struggled on appetizers for an hour and a half, Ramsay had her swap spots with her. On appetizers, she was able to get food out after three minutes, and calmed down Sara when she was cheering about it. Three hours into service, Ramsay shut down the service after some customers shouted "I want my food!" all over the dining room. The red team lost the dinner service, and, being able to save what could have been a disastrous night on appetizers, she was named "Best of the Worst".
Heather nominated Polly and Virginia for elimination, despite telling the latter she does not want her to go.
Episode 2
After a brutal wake up call where the Sous Chefs were playing cowbells, the contestants were asked to get outside immediately. All the contestants had to get in the dumpsters to collect the trash from the last service. During the Steak Challenge, Heather scored two points for the red team. Ramsay told her performance was disappointing and he expected more from her. However, her team won the challenge 12-11, and she was rewarded with a helicopter ride to have lunch at The Saddle Peak Lodge with Ramsay. When the red team came back, she got in the hot tub along with her team.
The next morning, after a phone call from a hospitalized Larry, Heather learned, along with the other contestants, that he would not return to the competition. She was sad about the news and felt bad for him, saying she would rather him to leave because of something other than an illness.
During dinner service, Heather was on the meat station. After 45 minutes, she helped Maribel to send her starters out. A few minutes later, she suffered a second-degree burn, and before being rushed to the hospital, she dedicated her station to Maribel. She came back just in time for the announcement of the winning team, where her great teamwork and dedication was praised by Ramsay. The red team won the dinner service.
Episode 3
The next morning, Heather showed that her hand healed very quickly and had already took the bandage off.
During the Relay Challenge, Heather volunteered to sit out because of her injury. Because of that, she was called a princess by Sara. While Sara was waiting, she tried to motivate her and give her some tips, but Sara disrespected her by saying she was good enough to do it herself, and flipped her the birds. Her team won the challenge 2-1, and was awarded a day on a yacht with Ramsay. When the team came back from the reward, she got into a heated exchange with Garrett when he made a comment about how women should go back home to cook lunch for men. This infuriated her, and she had a talk with him about she does not like to be disrespected. When Garrett trash talked the girls before going to bed, she mocked him in front of her teammates.
During prep, Heather noticed Maribel who was crying because of her homesickness, and tried to keep her focused because of the dinner service. Also, Sara was annoyed by her way of leading the team.
During dinner service, Heather was on the fish station. When she was trying to help Sara with her risotto, she was more annoying her than anything else. After, when Ramsay asked for a time, both of them answered. Ramsay said to her that the appetizers station was Sara's, and that she had to run it herself. A half-hour into service, she served sub-par food to the plate, and Ramsay schooled her, which she said she deserved it because it was not coming the way he wants. Moments later, she helped her team to successfully send out many entrées. After many frustrations from Ramsay on both sides, he shut down the restaurant, and declared the red team winners as they served more entrées than the blue team.
Episode 4
Back in the dorms, Tom went on the patio and talked with her and Rachel about how he thinks it is only a game, how he only cares about the money, and how he sacrificed everything to be there, which Heather compared like if he was the only person who did. The two girls were irritated by his way of thinking, and Heather told him that she cares about the experience to work under Ramsay.
The next morning, Ramsay noticed that Heather was emerging as a leader on the red team, along with Sara and Rachel. After that, she was transferred to the blue team as Ramsay felt they need a woman to show some balls. That decision pissed her off as she now had to work against her girls from the red team. After a trip to Los Angeles where the contestants went to Pink's Hot Dogs, they got back at the restaurant to prep the kitchen for the first lunch service of Hell's Kitchen.
During the Lunch Service Challenge, on the first tickets, Heather had to calm down an argument between Garrett and Tom. Despite that, the team completed all their tickets, and celebrated their first completed dinner service. When Ramsay announced he asked the children to rate the food on a scale of 10, the blue team was declared the winners as their food was rated 9,85, compared to the red team's 9,84. As a reward, they got to an amusement park in Santa Monica Beach to feel like kids again. During the reward, she made up with Garrett and became friend with him and Keith. The three of them conspired to get Tom out because he was more hindering them than helping. She also joked with Keith that they would be the perfect final two as their initials fit the Hell's Kitchen initials.
During prep, Heather was appreciated by the blue team as they needed a win, and she helped Keith to keep his pants pulled up.
During dinner service, Heather was on the garnish station. She felt like the men's babysitter, as she was telling Garrett how to do his risotto, and Tom if his pan was hot enough. Apart from that, she was unnoticed during that service, which was shut down by Ramsay after a lot of frustration in both kitchens and only half of the dining room was served. He declared both teams losers, and told them to nominate one member each.
She was not nominated for elimination.
Episode 5
The next morning, Heather tasted some fine-dining dishes, which included caviar, cheese fondue, pâté, and chicken kebab. After a few minutes, Ramsay revealed all those dishes were fake, and introduced the Blind Taste Test. During the challenge, she scored 2 points for her team by correctly identifying chicken and hot dog. The blue team lost the challenge 6-7, and were punished by cleaning both kitchens that were left as they were after the previous dinner service. When she knew the reward, she was really envious as she was a woman also, and was on that team before. After the punishment, the red team arrived from their reward and Rachel talked to her about the power struggle in the red team because of her feud with Sara.
During prep, Sous Chef Scott was nervous as the blue team was a man down compared to the red team.
During dinner service, Heather was on the appetizer station. Even before Ramsay called one ticket out, she was caught putting spaghetti in a pot to cook. Ramsay told her they were not a fast-food restaurant, and threatened her with on-the-spot elimination. When Garrett tried to comfort her by touching her shoulder, she aggressively told him to not touch her, prompting him to say she should work with him and not against him. When Ramsay called the first ticket, she did not answer back, and Ramsay told her team he was already nervous and they have not even sent anything yet. The first risotto she sent was bland. Ramsay asked her to taste it, and she answered that she found it a little bit crunchy, but no more, before he asked her to start again. Later, she moved to the meat station to help Garrett, hoping to redeem herself. But, he was more annoyed than anything because he felt she wanted to control what he was doing. Two hours into service, she screwed Garrett's station when she sent the wrong number of quail orders. Another hour later, Ramsay asked for the lamb sauce twice, because neither her or Garrett answered back the first time. Moments later, Ramsay shut down both kitchens after Rachel's unforgivable mistake in the red kitchen, and when the teams were lined up, she raised her hand to tell she indeed did not perform as good as she could, and added by saying they all should be up for elimination, but also added that they do not deserve to go home. Keith saw that as a way of getting the responsibility off her shoulders. The blue team was declared the winners for serving more entrées than the red team.
At elimination, her best friend Rachel was eliminated, and she took it very hard emotionally as both of them became very close friends. Heather even told Rachel she would miss her the most if she was to go.
Episode 6
Following Rachel's elimination, Heather was already crying and missing her. She talked to Maribel about it, and said she did not think this would happen. But, Maribel understood it as she wanted her to be eliminated.
The next morning, Heather woke up, along with the other contestants, by Sous Chef Scott and Maryann, who were holding megaphones, shouting all over the dorms, and telling them to get outside immediately with their jackets on. They were taken to the Grand Central Public Market in Los Angeles, where Ramsay explained the Three Course Meal Challenge. During the shopping part, she struggled to find what she wanted to serve, leading Keith to realize she could be a little flustered. During the cooking part, the blue team was well organized as each of them chose a station.
During the judging, Heather was the last of her team to go, and presented a fresh-fruit crepe with mango purée as a dessert. Ramsay did not like it as it was soggy. The blue team lost the challenge, and were punished by taking part in Delivery Day. She took that defeat very ungraciously as she felt her team should have won. When Garrett flipped the bird to the red team's limousine who was going out for their reward, she was worried that it might get them trouble, and did not think it was a good idea.
Before dinner service, both teams were asked to create their own menus. Heather, along with Keith, totally ignored Garrett's inputs.
During dinner service, Heather was on the fish and grill stations. An hour into service, when her kitchen was ready to move on to entrées, the truck horn was heard, and she, along with her teammates, was forced to do one more task of the punishment. All three of them raced outside and took in orders of wine. When the blue team had almost finished service, she took over the meat station, and served a respectable order of steak. After that, she managed to help her team complete their side of the dining room for the first time, prompting Ramsay to order her and her teammates to take the red kitchen over, and finish service for them. The blue team won the dinner service.
Episode 7
Back in the dorms, Heather and her two teammates talked about what was in store for them tomorrow. The next morning, she and Keith were hugging each other on the couch, when she declared she formed a great bond with him, as his prediction was both of them in the finals.
Before the next challenge, Ramsay announced the remaining five contestants would become one team, which was the black team. Heather was the fourth one to receive her black jacket. After that, she went back to the dorms to change, along with her teammates. When they came down in the blue kitchen, Ramsay introduced the 10 Ingredient Challenge. For this challenge, she served fresh saffron prawns over a bed of spinach and artichokes. Ramsay, despite telling it tasted nice, realized the spinach was not clean enough, as he got some dirt in the throat. She lost the challenge to Keith, and was punished by taking part of Bug Night, which was wrapping both kitchens for fumigation, and doing the fumigation herself, along with her punished teammates. After the punishment, Garrett told her about how angry he was about the situation, and began telling the story of his difficult childhood.
During prep, Heather was annoying Sara with her leadership as she felt she was just barking out orders. During dinner service, she was on the appetizer station along with Sara. The first risotto she made was bland, and Ramsay told her and Sara to start again and stop panicking. On her second attempt, she succeeded to send an acceptable one, and enjoyed a moment to herself. When the twelve-top table arrived, the pressure shifted to her and Sara, as they had to get 12 starters at the same time. When she successfully did, despite not enjoying Sara's company on her station, she enjoyed another moment, proud of herself. On the last ticket, the black team rallied to complete service for the first time, and a proud Ramsay exclaimed "Alleluia!".
When the final five were lined up, Ramsay reminded the lack of teamwork, despite the completed service. He told Heather about her inconsistency despite getting appetizers out, and Keith was named "Best of the Worst".
Heather was not nominated for elimination as Keith stated she was a strong cook and deserved to be there.
Episode 8
Back in the dorms, Keith joked with Heather about the fact he was the last man standing, declaring he had to get rid of the dudes as he was a pimp. She said to him that he had to pick her if he was to win the next challenge, or she would punch him in the throat.
The next morning, when Ramsay asked the final four who they think was the strongest chef, Heather, along with Sara and Keith, answered herself. Ramsay declared they were all strong chefs, and named the reward of the next challenge before explaining it, which was a guaranteed spot in the final three. After that, she put blindfolds on, along with her teammates, and they were taken to a secret location where they would run their own individual restaurants.
During the 100 Portions Construction Workers Challenge, Heather cooked a grilled chicken sandwich with French fries. Back in Hell's Kitchen, Ramsay revealed that her dish was named the worst by the workers, making her lose the challenge to Virginia. Her heart fell and she broke down in tears. Her punishment was to prep crab for the next dinner service. During the punishment, she told Keith felt that Virginia won not because the workers liked her dish, but because they liked her. Keith agreed by saying she won only because she is the hottest and was flirting with them, saying things like "I'll take you home". Both of them plotted against her, where they agreed to leave her on the side if she would need help during service. Sara later joined that conspiracy. When Virginia came back from her reward, she received a very cheap present from her, and gave her cold shoulder because she did not want to be friend with her any longer.
When the chefs were lined up, Ramsay told that three master chefs would be eating in the dining room that night, and that was not the time to mess up.
During dinner service, Heather was on the meat station. Knowing she could be eliminated that night, she was running around her station very quickly, and eventually sent out perfectly cooked Wellingtons, prompting Ramsay to say that it was the best start yet. When the master chefs arrived, she chose to serve them beef Wellingtons. Later into service, she was sent to the fish station to help Sara, which was struggling, but got kicked off by her who said she was fine. Minutes later, she was lacking communication with Virginia, as she repeated one of her orders to her when she did not understood it well the first time. After a minor fire erupted on Virginia's station, Heather was sent there to help her. She went to the back store looking for bok choy, and despite this, she succeeded to get her entrées out, and more than half of the diners received their main courses. When Jean-Philippe returned to the kitchen with the chefs' dishes, he said to her that the meat was cooked perfectly. This motivated her to complete service so Ramsay would be proud of her, despite having very little help from her teammates, especially Sara and Virginia. When Ramsay took the latter's immunity away from her, Heather was thanking god. When the last order came out, Ramsay congratulated her on her strong performance.
When the chefs were lined up, Ramsay named Heather "Best of the Worst" for having the dish most enjoyed by the three master chefs. She was asked to nominate two of her teammates for elimination. Back in the dorms, she celebrated with Keith and Sara for being the final three, because Virginia was ready to take herself out.
Heather nominated Virginia as her first nominee, and Sara as her second. She was shocked when Virginia announced that she wanted to stay despite her telling she wanted to leave, eliminating Sara in the process.
Episode 9
Back in the dorms, Heather told Virginia she was surprised by her move at elimination, but Virginia told her she really meant what she said in front of Ramsay. When Virginia asked her and Keith if she was better than Sara, both of them yawned in her face, as it was not important. The next morning, Virginia asked her many questions about the menu, but she refused to answer her, thinking she would not help her win the competition.
During the Taste It, Now Make It Challenge, Heather used wild stripped sea bass, mashed potatoes for the purée, and cilantro for the sides. She lost the challenge to Virginia, which she accused of cheating later, and was punished by polishing all the glasses and silverware of the restaurant, under Jean-Philippe's supervision. During the punishment, she and Keith tried to listen to what Ramsay was saying to Virginia in the kitchen. Back in the dorms that night, she gave cold shoulder to Virginia stating that she does not want to be friend with her any longer. When she got to sleep, Keith joined her in her bed, and both of them were laughing and having fun.
During prep the next morning, Heather and Keith were annoying Virginia with their behavior, as both of them thought they already won.
During dinner service, Heather was on the meat station. When Ramsay asked for chicken on the first ticket, she panicked, saying it needed 30 seconds more. Unfortunately, she sent it burned. Ramsay asked her to start again without doing the same mistake over. During Keith's turn at the hot plate, she had to take most of the control over because of his lack of authority, and acknowledged that he had to take the reins himself, instead of letting everybody take the reins for him. When it was her turn, she asked Sous Chef Scott and Virginia a proper time on their food to be ready. She had a tendency to rush because of the pressure on her shoulders, so Ramsay had to tell her to stop panicking and calm down. When she asked Keith a time on his risotto, he gave her seven minutes, but she gave him six. Her good leadership abilities managed the team to send many appetizers out. After that, Sous Chef Mary-Ann attempted a sabotage, so she served lumps instead of mashed potatoes. Heather failed to spot the mistake, and when she started arguing, Ramsay lost his patience and told her to stop. After that, she was sent back to her station, and Virginia went to the hot plate for her turn. She was not able to hear her well on her first ticket as she was not loud enough. With three tickets left and Ramsay back on the hot plate, Virginia started to struggle on fish, and was lacking communication and teamwork with Heather. Despite that, the team rallied to send the last tables and complete dinner service for a third time in a row.
When the chefs were lined up, Ramsay told each of them to name one person who they think do not deserve to advance in the finals. At elimination, Heather nominated Virginia, despite acknowledging Keith could have been a little bit louder, and received no votes for elimination. On his way out, Keith gave her a big hug, and, along with Virginia, she became one of the two finalists of Hell's Kitchen. Back in the dorms, they celebrated with some champagne glasses, and received visit from some people, but before they were revealed, the episode ended in a cliffhanger.
Episode 10/11
Coming back from the previous episode, it was revealed that the people knocking at the doors were both finalists' respective loved ones. Heather got a visit from her parents. She told them what she have done so far in the competition, which included diving in the trash dumpsters on episode 2, and her friendship with Rachel. After some appreciated time, her family left, along with Virginia's, and she gave a hug to her, telling it was a sweet gift.
The next morning, Heather was back to business, aware that only Virginia was standing between her and her dream. The telephone rang and she picked it up. Ramsay told her to get down in the kitchen, along with Virginia. When both of them entered the blue kitchen, some members of the media were waiting for them in the dining room, holding cameras and taking pictures. After Ramsay talked in the microphone, reporters asked a series of questions to the finalists. At some point, the finalists revealed the dance they made up in the dorms, which Heather was embarrassed about. But, they performed it anyway, much to our amusement. After that, Ramsay revealed the final challenge, and a huge red blanket came down from the ceiling. He told both finalists that the restaurant is divided, with Heather working in the red kitchen with Sous Chef Scott, and that she would design her dream restaurant. Before they left to the dorms, Ramsay gave them their head chef's jackets. Back in the dorms, both of them were really excited, and changed in their new outfits.
Back downstairs, Heather stood on her respective side of the restaurant, thinking about how she could design her new restaurant. She declared that she could die now, because her dream was coming true. With 36 hours left until the last dinner service, Ramsay introduced her, and Virginia, to John Janavs, the designer of Hell's Kitchen, and Albie Colotto, the designer of the Red Rock Resort & Spa. He told her to work with them, and after, work with Jean-Philippe for the uniforms and atmosphere of her restaurant. After that, she met all those people and explained them her vision of her dream restaurant in details, and the construction began. She later met Sous Chef Scott to design her menu.
After some hard work in her kitchen, Heather was told by Ramsay to pack her bags because she, him, and Virginia, would go to Las Vegas. She was extremely excited about that trip. They traveled in a huge GMC limousine, and on the way to Vegas, Ramsay reminded her signature dish on the first day, and her burn on episode 2. Arrived in Las Vegas, Ramsay introduced the Final Signature Dish Challenge, where she had one hour to prepare their new signature dish to the customers of the Red Rock Resort & Spa. She made a Chilean sea bass with puréed cauliflower. During the judging, both dishes were neck-and-neck, with a very close score the whole time. After a tie at 10, one last customer was approached to taste the dish, and he clinched the loss for Heather. After the challenge, Ramsay invited her, and Virginia, to the roof top to admire Las Vegas, and inviting both of them to London as VIP guests at his own establishment to come and enjoy themselves. She was very excited about the gift, and after that, they went back to Hell's Kitchen.
Arrived in Hell's Kitchen, Heather learned that her stairs were missing the Plexiglas they needed. So, Janavs suggested a color to go with the rest of the dining room, which she agreed. Finally, her booths were not set up properly, which made her really concerned about the progress of her restaurant. After that, she went to sleep, exhausted, but having a lot of things on her mind. The next morning, her former teammates came back to the dorms to greet and congratulate both finalists. Rachel was the first one to enter, and was hugged very hard by Heather. Rachel was very happy to see her in the finals. During the selection, she was given the last pick as she lost the final challenge to Virginia. She chose Rachel as her first pick, which both of them were very happy about. For her second pick, she picked Sara, and at the end, she was left with Garrett. However, she was also happy to have him on her team as she knew exactly how she could get what she wants from him. After the selection, she got back to the dorms with her team for briefing time. The team was happy about the menu, Garrett even saying that she was smart about it and that she designed it for the team to succeed.
During prep, Garrett was very confident, while Rachel and Sara were focused on their own things. Moments later, Colotto came and talk to Heather about a minor problem with her booths. She agreed, along with Janavs, to trim off a small section of them, so it could fit on the wall. Four hours before opening, the design of her dining room was way behind schedule, but fortunately, the kitchen was running smoothly. When she presented her menu to Ramsay, he said the chicken on her salad was chewed up, the sea bass was boring, but praised the desserts. Minutes before opening, she presented her dining room to Ramsay. He found it very vibrant, elegant, and the only negative review he had was the child graffiti on the wall, written with a blue sharpie marker. After Ramsay told her that he was proud and that her brigade was not her friends, Then, she briefed her team one last time, telling them what she wants from them during that service.
On her first ticket, Heather was controlling her brigade and everybody seemed confident and focused. Sara led the team off to a good start with her salad appetizers, making Heather very happy about it. Many starters went out of the kitchen very fast, with more than half of the diners receiving their appetizers. But moments later, one of them came back in the kitchen for not being hot enough. So, she asked for a scallop soup on the fly, determined to not leave that night not a winner. An hour into service, almost all of her customers received their appetizers, but they received mixed reviews. When a salad came back for being too salty, she ordered once again a scallop soup on the fly. She was worried because Sara and her weak performance could get her chances of winning away from her. Rachel had to refire an order of meat because it was not cooked enough. When she sent it back to the hot plate, Heather told her it was perfectly cooked. The Red Rock Resort president enjoyed his meat dish. Three hours into service, she started to push desserts out. However, she told Sara to replate some of the desserts because she was not satisfied with them. When Sara sent them for the second time, the plates were not the same, and Heather told her to replate them once again, which Sara acknowledged it was becoming obnoxious. After that, Ramsay told Heather that the cream of the dessert was underneath the plate, so she told her brigade to clean underneath the plates. Fortunately, her team eventually rallied to send their final desserts out, and the Red Rock Resort president enjoyed his. After service, she congratulated and thanked her team.
When the teams were lined up, Ramsay congratulated them and asked for a big round of applause. After that, Ramsay revealed that the president of the Red Rock Resort was dining in both restaurants that night, and the president himself came in the kitchen to give his reviews about the different dishes. Heather's sea bass was praised for the great presentation and delicate taste. Ramsay told her to say goodbye to her staff and wait in the dorms. Before she left, she gave a long hug to Rachel saying that if she does not win, she could say that she had a great restaurant for one night. Back in the dorms, she was drinking beer with Virginia, and both of them told how nervous they were. After a few minutes, the Sous Chefs went knocking at the dorms' door to get both of them in Ramsay's office. Arrived there, she stood in front of a door, knowing that it would open only if she was the winner. Ramsay praised her great improvement and maturity throughout the competition. After declaring that he read every customer comment cards, and that one of the finalists was holding a slight advantage in front of the other, Ramsay gave both of them a key each. Ramsay then declared that one of those keys would not only open the door, but also their very own restaurant in Las Vegas. After waiting nervously for Ramsay's countdown to end, she turned her key, and her door opened.
Heather became the winner of Hell's Kitchen, and went downstairs to celebrate with everybody, who were congratulating her. Three months later, she was introduced to her new staff at the Red Rock Resort & Spa, where she gave a very emotional speech and thanked everybody from Ramsay to her parents, who were as emotional as her during her speech. After that, a big firework erupted on top of the resort.
Ramsay's comment: "Heather won Hell's Kitchen because of her determination. She stuck to what she knew best, and she controlled her kitchen from start to finish. Heather clearly has great leadership qualities, and this, for a 25-year-old cook, is a phenomenon. This woman is going to be a big success. My work is done, it's been a phenomenal journey, I'm ready for the next challenge, and fuck you all!"
